This was a wonderful weekend at Congregation Torat El. Our Shabbat services were inspirational, our comedy night was a hilarious success, and I was truly honored and humbled to be installed your Rabbi on Sunday afternoon. For those who were unable to be with us, below is a link to my remarks from the installation. We are well on our way to creating the vibrant, dynamic, and holy community that will be Congregation Torat El and I feel so blessed to be your Rabbi.
On a separate note, this week I also came across an article written by Chancellor Arnold Eisen of the Jewish Theological Seminary in which he explores what it is like to be a Jew in America on Christmas. From Christmas Carols to Chinese food and movies, Dr. Eisen has a number of interesting and thought- provoking things to say about this time of year. Read, enjoy, and feel free to e-mail me with your thoughts!
