Capital Campaign Update | Congregation Torat El - Monmouth County Conservative Synagogue

Capital Campaign Update

We exceeded our campaign goal of $1,500,000 and as of November 12th have raised $1,532,718!  THANK YOU!!

We are humbled by your spiritual and financial support of our first Capital Campaign, OUR STORY. OUR TIME: THE CAMPAIGN FOR CONGREGATION TORAT EL. There are not enough words of gratitude for your meaningful support.

 WHAT HAS THIS CAMPAIGN ACHIEVED?

  • Our synagogue debt will be eliminated in 2021, as Campaign pledges are paid. This was our number 1 priority and we are thrilled to see it realized. To date we have eliminated over $776,000 of debt, including eliminating the mortgage.
  • We replaced our sanctuary roof.
  • We relocated and created a beautiful new Patio/Sukkah.
  • We are working on a lovely landscaped garden around the Patio/Sukkah.
  • We will be making updates to our Social Hall, including new chairs.

WHO PARTICIPATED IN THIS AMAZING ACHIEVEMENT?

  • 100% of our Executive Board and Board of Trustees.
  • 24 Past Presidents, who served as Honorary Co-Chairs of the Campaign.
  • 225 Congregants (families and individuals), our Men’s Club, Sisterhood, Membership Committee, businesses and friends. Of this group, 164 pledges (73%) are paid in full.

Our success is truly a testament to all of you. Your generosity and heartfelt stories throughout this Campaign have left indelible marks on all of us. You have demonstrated the importance of our synagogue — in celebration and in sadness, and even during a pandemic. We all have reasons for needing this community and our synagogue – Congregation Torat El.

We will be unveiling a beautiful donor wall in the months ahead, to forever recognize all of you who joined in this incredible achievement.

There are moments in time when we are called upon to rise to the challenge. This was our moment. This was OUR STORY. This was OUR TIME.
