Library | Congregation Torat El - Monmouth County Conservative Synagogue

Library

Welcome to the Congregation Torat El Professor Carl and Sandra Koreen and Family Library. The Library supplements everything the Rabbi talks about, what your family is learning in Religious School, and then some. It’s your library, so please feel welcome to stop in and use it. The Koreen Library is available when the synagogue is open.

The Library is a collection of material specifically of Jewish interest or by Jewish authors. Collected materials include books, CDs, DVD, and games for all age levels from preschool to adult. New books and materials are constantly ordered to keep the collection up-to-date and provide for our users’ wants and needs.

No librarian is necessary for book circulation; just follow the borrowing process listed on the desk. Come visit the Library, browse, then select the books for you and your family.

You may have a specific author, title, or subject in mind.  Find out if we have something on the shelf right now by searching the online Library Catalog.

How to Donate Materials to the Library

Books (paperback and hardcover, fiction or non-fiction, but not text books) for adults and children on Jewish themes should be in good condition. “Good condition” means clean, no dust, no mold or mildew, no evidence of insects, covers intact and not more than 5 years old. Commercial DVDs and CDs in good condition are also suitable.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT DONATIONS OF THE FOLLOWING: Prayer books, chumashim, bentshers or haggadot, Hebrew or Yiddish language books.

Your donations are appreciated and will be added to the collection at the discretion of our library staff.
