Rabbi Kalonymous Kalman Shapira, also known as the Esh Kodesh and the Piaseczno Rebbe, lived, wrote, and perished during the years leading up to, and including, the Holocaust. Writing during an impossible time of darkness, he sought answers to what it meant to live a life of faith and spirituality while living in impossible conditions. Join Rabbi Schonbrun to explore some of the teachings from the Esh Kodesh and what they might offer individuals who struggle with finding spirituality, meaning, and purpose in a world that can, at times, seem cruel and uncertain. We look forward to learning together.
