One Little Goat, Four little Songs, & Where They Come From

Those who make it to the end of the seder each year know it concludes with plenty of singing among whoever is still at the table. From “Who Knows One” to the strange tale of Chad Gadya—“the one little goat that my father bought for two zuzim,“ it is customary to sing our way out of the seder ritual before heading off to bed (and perhaps helping with cleanup!). Where do these songs come from? What do they have to do with Passover,  and why are they part of the   Haggadah? Join us as we explore the history and music behind one of the more recent additions to the Passover ritual, and consider the role that song more broadly plays in our seder each year.
